Randolph Robida, P.C. focuses its legal practice on tax matters, estate planning, small business tax and legal issues, probate, and estate and trust administration. Our office combines large firm experience with small firm service. The office was established by Randy in Denver in 1996 and provides legal services ranging from the drafting of simple wills to tax controversy resolution.

Randy has been a seminar speaker for organizations including the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program (DU GTP), National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Institute (NAELA), the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), National Business Institute (NBI), Half Moon Seminars (HMS), and the Institute for Paralegal Education (IPE).
Seminar topics have included business planning, advanced estate planning techniques in Colorado, basic probate procedures and practice, tax issues in estate planning and probate, tax issues associated with personal injury settlements, tax issues for aircraft owners, and a number of other subjects. Randy is an attorney with a solo law practice in Denver, Colorado, established in 1996.
Randy was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1957. His father was a Naval Aviator. As a result, Randy lived in Florida, Texas, California, Washington State, and Virginia while growing up. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1980, and from the Law School at the College of William & Mary in 1984. Following law school he worked in the tax department of Peat Marwick in Norfolk, Virginia, then opened a solo law practice in Virginia Beach. In 1988, he came to Denver to attend the Graduate Tax Program at the University of Denver and has stayed in the Denver area ever since. He worked in the tax department of Ernst & Young in Denver for two years and at a Denver law firm for four years before opening his own law office in 1996. His practice focuses on business planning, tax law, estate planning and probate.
Randy has an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Denver, a B.S. in Business, with a major in Accounting from Virginia Tech, and a J.D. from the College of William & Mary. He has over 20 years experience as an attorney and a former Certified Public Accountant, including 4 years with the tax departments of Big Four C.P.A. firms, and over 15 years in solo law practice. Randy has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has lectured frequently on business planning, tax, estate planning and administration issues.
He is also a member of the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association and has served as chair of the Orange Book Forms Committee (for reviewing, drafting, and revising Colorado Estate Planning Forms).
Randy is a frequent continuing education speaker on tax and legal issues, including tax issues associated with trust decanting and modification, and tax issues associated with legal settlements. He is the Author of the Advanced Estate Planning chapter for the Colorado Estate Planning Handbook published by the Colorado Bar Association, a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations and is a private pilot (see flight videos in the Just For Fun Tab!)
